Forest Lodge is a public resource, and we try to make it available to as many people as possible. If you need to adjust or cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible.

An invoice will be sent shortly after your program. The bill must be paid in full within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Any unpaid portion after that time may be subject to a 15 percent late fee.

Occupancy must not exceed the number of beds per room, per building code restrictions. The rental fees will be based on reserved rooms/buildings and days, regardless of early departure.

Contact Person

Each group must designate one contact person for program planning with the Forest Lodge Reservation Coordinator. This individual is responsible for completing all necessary paperwork and must be available for the duration of the group stay. The contact person is the official name/signature required on the Use Agreement to confirm reserved use at the Forest Lodge Educational Campus.

Emergency Contact

Northland College requires that each guest group has an emergency contact for each participant.

Supervision of Minors

Adult supervisors are expected to be on site for the duration of the guest program, especially during residential programs. Adult leaders are responsible for the safety and supervision of their participants.

Pre and Post Check-in/Check-out Room Inspections

Northland College conducts pre- and post-group inspections for property inventory and room/facility damage. The College also reserves the right to inspect rooms during programming for maintenance, public health, or safety reasons.

Guest Conduct

Guests must conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner and abide by federal, state, and local laws. Please employ quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. in buildings and on the property out of respect of additional users at the property and nearby neighbors.

Internet Access

Internet access is available to Forest Lodge guests in the Gatehouse via a wireless network (with password). The wireless network password is provided to guests upon arrival.

Safety and Emergency

There is no security service at Forest Lodge, and most cellular services do not work in the area. A landline phone is located in the Gatehouse and Guest House for emergencies. Call 911 or the Bayfield County Sheriff at 715-373-6120. Emergency contacts are posted inside each building entrance, and first aid kits are located in the Gatehouse and Guesthouse.

Alcohol

The possession or use of alcohol at Forest Lodge requires prior authorization and completion of the Alcoholic Beverage Policy and User Agreement.

Smoking

The Forest Lodge property is SMOKE-FREE. The burning of any type of lighted pipe, cigar, cigarette, or other smoking device, including electronic smoking devices such as an electronic cigarette, cigar, cigarillo, or pipe, are prohibited. Exceptions can be made for medical or ceremonial use upon request. Use extreme care when extinguishing burning materials.

What to Bring

Linens, towels, and toiletry items are NOT provided. Bring your own blankets, pillows, and extra-long twin sheets or sleeping bag. Users must provide their own towels, washcloths, and soap.

Meals

Meals may be catered or prepared by the group. The Gatehouse includes a kitchen for the group’s use.

Personal Property

We request that group event or conference participants keep valuable items locked in their cars. Northland College is not responsible for damage, loss, or theft of personal items.

Facility Cleaning

Please clean and put away all dishes and cookware and pack out all food, trash, and recycling upon departure. A cleaning fee may be charged if these tasks are not completed.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the any of the buildings or on the Forest Lodge Historical District grounds.

Firearms and Weapons

Firearms and weapons are not allowed within the Forest Lodge Historic District.
