Powwow & Awareness
Since 1974.
We believe it is important to share indigenous culture, traditions, music, crafts, dance, and ways of life with our community. Awareness activities are presented in partnership with the Native American Student Association and the Northland College Student Association. We hope you join us and have some fun. More information is available on our Facebook page.
Indigenous Cultures Awareness Month
Every March, Northland College host several events as part of celebrations marking Indigenous Cultures Awareness Month. The events promote awareness and understanding of Native American and indigenous culture with family-friendly workshops, speakers, and panels. The month’s events are free and open to the public. We hope you join us.
Spring Powwow
Join us each March for our annual Spring Powwow—everyone is welcome! As part of Indigenous Cultures Awareness Month, the annual powwow is a signature event at Northland College. Enjoy the popular powwow photo booth, as well as the beautiful works of regional artists. All events are free and open to the public.
Drums, dancers, and regional vendors are welcome. Vendors will be accepted on a first registered, first paid basis. Vendor contracts, fees, and applications can be downloaded here.
