If you are currently serving in the military, have served in the past, or are a dependent of someone who has, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance from the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Northland College actively assists eligible students with applying their educational benefits toward a degree.
How to Apply
- Go to va.gov to check your eligibility and follow the directions under “How do I apply.”
- To request an application by mail, call 1-888-GI-BILL, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (ET).
Once you have applied for benefits and received confirmation from the VA, please provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Northland’s VA School Certifying Official.
The VA highly recommends that all benefit-eligible students file the FAFSA and apply for financial aid, as benefits generally do not cover the entire cost of attendance.
Wisconsin Veterans
Veterans who are Wisconsin residents may also be eligible to participate in the Vet Ed reimbursement program and the Wisconsin Veteran Student Assistance Grant offered through the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs.
