The psychology and social sciences major equips students with the skills to analyze and build a deep understanding of the social and psychological processes at work in various contexts of human behavior and social systems. This program is unique and interdisciplinary, blending academic study with experiential learning opportunities that fit with our mission.
In this program, you can explore questions on psychological, social, and cultural factors that shape individual and collective behaviors. You’ll learn how the brain makes sense of the world, how early life affects adult health, how children and adolescents develop identity, how groups work together in cooperation and conflict, and the answers to many other questions.
Northland offers a psychology and social sciences major and a psychology minor.
