Psychology

Build a basis for understanding.

Psychology is a broad field ripe with possibilities. You can explore how the brain makes sense of the visual world, how children and adolescents develop a social identity, how groups work together in cooperation and conflict, how individuals make sense of their own lives, and many other questions. Ultimately, a psychology major prepares you to understand and analyze the social and psychological processes at work in any field of study or practical endeavor.

We’ve created a unique psychology major that fits with our mission. In addition to studying how and why people do what they do, our program helps you to focus on issues that are important to building a sustainable future such as the relationship between humans and nature, working in groups for meaningful social change, and studying how people form political attitudes and make choices. Upon graduating, you’ll be ready to apply your knowledge and skill in the workforce or pursue your interests further in graduate studies.
