Our chemistry minor provides a solid foundation in chemistry while providing interdisciplinary depth to biology, natural resources, and Earth science majors (though any interested student can tack this minor on to their degree). The hands-on coursework helps students develop laboratory and problem-solving skills.
At Northland, we use chemistry in our search for solutions to complex environmental problems. You’ll be encouraged to take part in student-faculty collaborative laboratory research. In fact, many of our students work on original research, and some even publish in high-level, peer-reviewed journals.
