You’ll have the opportunity to pursue two different areas of concentration within business administration—sustainable business and business management. Both tracts share core courses that provide you with a foundational understanding of economics, finance, marketing, strategic planning, and social responsibility to prepare you for a successful career. You’ll also have an opportunity to complete elective coursework that complements your business studies such as graphic or web design and community development. Additionally, Northland College offers a minor in business management and sports management.
Sustainable Business Concentration
Sustainable business explores consumer ecological and social concerns, ethical business practices, and the challenges and rewards of socially responsible business models. Through coursework and case studies, you will learn to recognize change by understanding that the consuming public is becoming increasingly concerned about these challenges to a sustainable world and to recognize market opportunities for sustainability-focused businesses. You will leave college prepared to enter the world of business and nonprofits. See Sustainable Business Management Concentration course list.
