This tag at the top of your email means the message you just received was generated outside of the Northland College email system. A large percentage of Northland email is received from outside contacts, vendors, or organizations.

Use extreme caution when receiving a message like this from an email address that is an individual at Northland. That could mean it is a scam.

Actions to Take

• Always followup with the individual (or department) like this directly via a phone call when you see this tag on an email from someone within Northland that is asking you to do something.
• If a system/organization/department is emailing you which has this tag that you believe is an internal system/resource, forward the message to tech support for review.
