Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunities  

American Association of University Women
The Racine, Wisconsin Branch of the American Association of University Women is offering a $3,000 scholarship to a female student who will be enrolled as a college Junior in September 2012. The successful applicant must be a resident of Racine City/County, Wisconsin. The deadline for the receipt of applications is March 5, 2012.

AES Engineering Scholarships
AES Engineering is offering a $500 scholarship to motivated high-school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. Applicants are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Scholarships are intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. Students must submit an essay no more than 1000 words to one of the questions posted on the website. To Apply, click here.

AICCW Scholarship Program

AICCW scholarships are distributed to American Indian students who reside in Wisconsin, both on and off the reservation. Students must demonstrate a high aptitude for academic achievement and financial need. Students that are awarded the AICCW scholarship receive up to $2,000 each academic year to offset student expenses including tuition, books, and living expenses. American Association of University Women
The AAUW offers a $3,000 scholarship to women attending a four year college or university. Applicants must be enrolled as juniors by fall of 2011 and must have a GPA of 3.0.  For more information and application materials click here.

merican Indian Education Foundation
AIEF provides educational leadership and networking services for Native American students enrolled in post-secondary schools.  For more information, click here. 

American Chemical Society Scholars Award
ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000 are given to qualified students based on academic standing, financial need, career objective, leadership skills, and involvement in school activities and community service. Army Emergency Relief's MG James Ursano Scholarship Program

Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a non-profit organization that offers financial assistance to dependent children of active, retired, or deceased soldiers. Scholarships are based on financial need, academics, and leadership/achievement for each academic year. For more information and to apply, click here.

ASCO Numatics
ASCO Numatics will award two merit-based scholarships of $5,000 each to exceptional undergraduate and graduate engineering students pursuing careers in manufacturing, processing or other industrial automation related disciplines.  Applications must be submitted online, click here.

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest
The Ayn Rand Institute will award 49 college students and high-school seniors with scholarships ranging from $50-$10,000 for winning essays demonstrating an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged. For more information and to apply, click here.

Bayfield County Home & Community Education (HCE) Scholarship
The HCE awards a $500 scholarship annually to a continuing college or vocational college student who is enrolled in a field of study that benefits home or family. Applicant must be in his or her second year of study and a Bayfield County resident or a graduate of one of the Bayfield County High Schools. Boren Scholarship and Fellowship
Boren Awards provide up to $30,000 awards for U.S. students to study in Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East, where they can add important international and language components to their educations. For more information, click here.

Campus Discovery Scholarship

CampusDiscovery.com is offering the chance to win a $5,000 scholarship to U.S. students enrolled at a college or university (as well as recent college grads). To start the process, students just have to complete a fun, interactive college survey, and then give campusdiscovery.com his/her thoughts about the value of college. Delta Nu Alpha Greater Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter 317 Scholarship
This scholarship program is open to all students studying in the field of Transportation, Logistics or related areas.  Contact the Northland College Financial Aid Office for more information.

Denise Bertucci Memorial Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is awarded to candidates throughout Wisconsin; applicants must be 21 years of age and enrolled as a full-time student after a break in their education. For more information visit the Northland College Financial Aid Office.

Developmental Disabilities Scholastic Excellence Award
The Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc. is offering two $3,000 scholarships to be awarded to Lutheran students pursuing undergraduate degrees in any area of service to people with developmental disabilities. For application materials and information, click here.

2012 Dr. Emil Nigro P.E. Scholarships
The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) is proud to announce two scholarship programs. One is for Public Works employees who are pursuing continuing education in non-degree programs and the other is for part time or full time students or Public Works employees who are seeking degrees. The Fine Art Finals Scholarship Competitions are dedicated to the promotion of talented and gifted emerging artists at the High School and Collegiate levels, and awards their mastery of technique and excellence of artistic achievement. For availability and more information, click here.

IDEA Scholarship
WACAC provides scholarships to first generation, low income students who are pursuing higher education in Wisconsin. Scholarship recipients will receive a one-time award of $500 to be used towards higher education expenses. For more information and application forms click here.

I Know I Can Grant

The I Know I Can Grant is available for qualified Columbus City School Graduates. It is intended to assist students in covering the gap that exists between your resources and the cost of your college education. Awards range from $100-$1,200 per year. For more information and to apply, click here.

Induction Recognition Award

The Induction Recognition Award presents 80 NSCS members with $500 each towards their education. Requirements: must be an active NSCS member, have a resume on Scholar Jobs, must have attended NSCS induction between August 1, 2009 - January 31 2010, must be enrolled in an undergraduate program in an accredited institution and must be a fan of your Facebook chapter fan page. ISA Educational Foundation Scholarships

ISA Educational Foundation Scholarships are awarded to college or university students who demonstrate outstanding potential for long-range contribution to the fields of automation and control The scholarship awards support tuition and related expenses and research activities and initiatives. LCO Youth and Education Scholarship

Awarding $1,000 per recipient. Must be an enrolled member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa; and must be enrolled or accepted into a college or university, or a technical or vocational school or program working towards an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, certification or license. MENSA Foundation Scholarships

MENSA Foundation scholarships are available to applicants residing in participating American Mensa Local Group areas. Applications are only available between September and January. For more information, click here.

Morris K. Udall Foundation Scholarships

Only Native Americans and Alaska Natives are eligible to apply in tribal public policy or Native American health care. To view all requirements: click here.


National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Scholarship Program

NFB gives a broad array of thirty scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars. In addition to a scholarship, each winner will receive assistance to attend the 2011 National Federation of the Blind Annual Convention. For more information on how to apply, click here.

National Society of Collegiate Scholars

GEICO is presenting two $1,000 awards to NSCS members. Eligible recipients are undergraduates attending an accredited four-year college or university, possess sophomore or junior status, have achieved at least a 3.0 overall GPA, are majoring in business, computer science, mathematics or a related program
, have demonstrated leadership within their campus or community and are an NSCS member in good standing. For more information and to apply, click here.

Online Colleges.org Support A Student Scholarship for Single Parents
Any single parent enrolled in a degree program with a significant online component is eligible to apply.  The applicant must also be receiving some other type of financial aid. The scholarship, with further information can be found at: http://www.onlinecolleges.org/scholarships.  The winner, who will be announced on December 1st, 2011 will be awarded $10,000 towards non-tuition related living expenses for the January 2012 academic year.  Including: Rent, Childcare, Books and School Supplies, Utilities and groceries.

Robert Rue Parsonage Fund
Offers assistance for students to support a variety of projects outside the scope of regular coursework. Priority is given to proposals that support student-initiated research and the completion of capstone projects. Funding is capped at $1,500  per student per academic year. Roy Kalmerton Scholarship - Sponsored by the Sheboygan County Conservation Assoc.

Awards one $1,000 scholarship. Must be a Sheboygan county resident obtaining at least 60 credits while attending college any where in Wisconsin. Contact the Northland College Financial Aid office for more information.


Sallie Mae Fund

The Sallie Mae Fund awards about $2 million in scholarships. Four scholarship programs include, First in my Family, American Dream Scholarship, Unmet Need Scholarship, and the Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund. Scholarships have strict ethnic and demographic requirements, for complete information and instructions, click here.

Student Satellite Balloon Launch Internship
The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium is offering  a paid internship opportunity for 3 full time students who are majoring in a science or engineering discipline.  The internship lasts thirteen months and students will receive a $4,000 award paid in increments. Most work takes place off site and students from any location are encouraged to apply.  For more information and application materials, click here. 

Superior Choice Credit Union
Seven $500 Scholarships will be offered in 2010:One for a member of the Mellen School Credit Union and one for a member of the Superior High School Credit Union Five for members of SCCU, regardless of location. Eligible recipients must be members in good standing of Superior Choice Credit Union (SCCU)and the recipient must be a “full-time” student as determined by their respective schools. Talbots Scholarship Foundation

Awards up to ten scholarships of $15,000 and one $30,000 scholarship will be awarded. Applicants to the Talbots Scholarship Foundation must: be women currently residing in the United States or Canada women who earned a high school diploma or their GED on or before September 2000, enrolled or planning to enroll in a full- or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-, three- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States or Canada, be attending the full 2010-11 academic year and receiving a degree no earlier than May 2011, and have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete an undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the 2010 fall academic term. Only the first 5,000 eligible applications submitted will be processed. For more information, click here.


Thomas B. and Grace Stevenson Jones Scholarship Foundation

Students Residing in the Wisconsin counties of Grant, Iowa and Lafayette are eligible to apply for scholarships through this organization. Scholarships range from $1,500-$3,000 for students enrolled or accepted in a duly accredited four-year college or university in Wisconsin. For further information or to apply click here. United Church of Christ Undergraduate Scholarship

The UCC Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in 1994 by a generous gift from the Society of the South Congregational Church of Brooklyn, N.Y. The Endowment is managed by Local Church Ministries of the United Church of Christ. The scholarship is administered by the Worship and Education Ministry Team of Local Church Ministries.

Awards are modest, ranging from about $500-$1,000. The Endowment provides scholarship assistance to members of UCC congregations who are under 25 years and are sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate students, in any discipline, attending an accredited 4-year university orvcollege in the United States. Wisconsin Aviation Art Contest

Wisconsin aviation is holding a contest for artists ages 14-17.  Winners will receive their choice of an airplane flight for themselves and two guests, or $100 of art supplies from the Dick Blick TM catalog.  Second place winners will receive $75 of art supplies and third place winners $40 of art supplies.  For more information on rules and deadlines, click here.

Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges
WFIC awards nearly $1,000,000 in scholarships to Wisconsin private college students annually. Students should make sure they meet the criteria for each scholarship, including: minimum grade point average, area of study, the college they attend, permanent residence and a completed application. Wisconsin Laboratory Association (WLA) Scholarships
The WLA is offering three $500.00 scholarships for students who meet the following requirements: technical student – beginning of their second year, undergraduate university student – entering their 3rd, 4th or 5th year of college, or a graduate student – enrolled in a graduate program. Students must be in pursuit of a career in a non-medical laboratory related field and has at least a 3.0 or higher gpa. For more information, click here.

Arne Engebretsen Award For legal Wisconsin residents enrolled in teaching mathematics offers two $2,000 scholarships to qualified individuals. To learn more, click here.

Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium
The WSGC awards up to $1,500 for the 2010-2011 academic year. 
*Subject to availability of funds. Requirements: must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled full-time, admitted to or applied to any undergraduate program at a WSGC college or university, obtain a minimum 3.0 GPA (Proposals that include a GPA of less than 3.0 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis), obtain an above average SAT/ACT score, and have completed application online. Wisconsin Women in Government Scholarship 2011
WWIG is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that recognizes the contributions of women involved in public policy decision making.  This year it will choose two women enrolled at a WAICU-member college or university to receive scholarships of $3,000 each.  The scholarship is designed for women considering careers in public service, public administration, and government.  The funds may be used for tuition, school supplies, childcare, and to reduce a loan burden.  For guidelines and information click here, and visit the northland financial aid office to pick up a handout. 

Worldstudio AIGA Design Scholarships
Basic scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $2,000–$3,000. One or two top awards may be given in an amount up to $5,000 at the jury’s discretion. Each award is paid directly to the recipient’s school and applied toward tuition. In addition, honorable mention prizes in the amount of $500 cash are also awarded. WyzAnt Scholarship
This is our second annual college scholarship contest featuring $10,000 in total awards.  This year, we're asking students to write a short essay about the most important lesson they have learn.  Just like last year, students will be able to solicit votes from friends and family to reach the finals and then our nationwide network of $40,000 tutors will vote for the winners.  For more information click here.
