Children's Writing Award
In 2004, the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute broadened the focus of the writing award by developing a complementary Sigurd F. Olson Nature Writing Award for Children's Literature. Recipients of the award, both authors and illustrators, have traveled to Northland College to accept their awards and interact with students at the college and local elementary schools.
