Northland College Winds present "Milk and Cookies" concert
February 5, 2013
Northland College will host its annual "Milk And Cookies" concert on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The Northland College Winds will perform selections from kids' favorite films beginning at 7 p.m. in the Alvord Theatre at Northland College. The event, part of the Northland College Community Connections series, is free and open to the public.
The concert will include scores from a variety of Disney classics, such as "Aladdin" and "The Little Mermaid." The Northland College Winds will also perform contemporary selections from "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Chicken Run."
The Milk and Cookies Concert is an interactive concert for children with opportunities for kids to learn more about music. Joel Glickman, conductor and professor of music at Northland College, said the concert is a chance to foster children's interest in playing music and an occasion for family fun, food and entertainment. Crayons, milk and cookies will be provided.
