Northland College apparel available from Printing Plus
March 9, 2010
Printing Plus/Screen Line in Ashland, has begun selling a line of Northland College branded clothing, including t-shirts, polo shirts and caps. The clothing is available through their website, www.printingplusashland.com/northland.html. A portion of the proceeds will benefit scholarships for Northland College students."We've had lots of interest in making a new Northland College clothing line available to Northland friends and alums across the country," says David Wahlberg, vice president of Marketing, "Thanks to Gary LaPean and his company we're off to a great start with these products." Much of the new line of Northland-logo apparel is made from recycled or organic material and dyed with natural dyes, in keeping with the College's environmental mission.
Printing Plus owner Gary LaPean is a former Northland College trustee. LaPean served on the board from October 1996 to June 2008, and has been a volunteer for the area fund drive from 1987 to 2009.
Northland College and its Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute are located in Ashland, Wis., near the shores of Lake Superior. Northland's distinctive environmental liberal arts program, passionate faculty and beautiful natural location create a community of engaged learners who develop the skills and experience to prepare for advanced studies and meaningful lives. Founded in 1892, Northland enrolls 700 students from across the nation and across the world.
