Northland listed as #1 Environmental Program

Northland College has been listed first in the United States on Treehugger.com’s “10 Best College Environmental Programs in the US.”  Some other colleges on the list include Duke, Cornell, Yale, Arizona State’s School of Sustainability and Green Mountain College.

Treehugger.com is owned by Discovery Communications, the same company which runs the Discovery Channel. It is among the most popular environmentally-themed blogs, and, according to TIME Magazine's blog index, rates among the top 20 blogs in traffic worldwide.  The website provides commentary on environmental issues as well as resources for people seeking “greener” lifestyles.
