Northland College presents "Stolen Moments" concert
February 13, 2013
Northland College will host the concert "Stolen Moments" on Saturday, Feb. 23. The recital will showcase Professor of Music Joel Glickman and pianist JoniChapman at 7:30 p.m. in the Alvord Theatre at Northland College. The performance, part of the Northland College Community Connections series, isfree and open to the public.
The concert will include clarinet and piano renditions of classic scores from the late Baroque to early Classical periods. Glickman and Chapman will feature works, such as J.S. Bach's "Prelude from the Fourth Suite" for cello solo and Mozart's "Quartet" for oboe and strings.
The show will be performed with only piano and clarinet. Glickman said the concert is a chance to demonstrate the value of expanding one's musical horizons with works that are not intended for clarinet and piano.
The concert is part of the Northland College Music Faculty Recital Program.
