Northland College partners with Lake Superior Elementary on “Ravine Clean”

Lake Superior Elementary students in grades K-5 got their gloved-hands dirty at Northland College on Tuesday, April 3, including second grader Aryan Gary. Grade school students helped clean up the ravine by Bay City Creek. The event was part of the school's recycling-themed month, according to after school program site coordinator Maria Gilbaugh. Northland students organized the "Ravine Clean" as part of "Keep Northland Beautiful Week" at the college. College students identified plant species for the elementary school kids as they picked up trash and loose items.
