Northland College hires Vice President of Finance and Administration
December 30, 2011
Northland College recently named Robert Jackson to serve as the college's Vice President of Finance and Administration. Jackson has been serving as the college's Interim Vice President of Finance and Administration since April 1, 2011.
"Bob has performed well in key responsibilities," says Michael A. Miller, Northland College President. "In particular, I am pleased with his detailed budget work, effective partnerships with institutional research and other cabinet members to produce high-quality budget projections, communication with all constituencies, meeting organization and problem-solving skills, strong values, reputation on campus, and loyalty to Northland."
Jackson first came to Northland College to serve as the institution's controller in 2008. He offers 12 years of accounting experience in a variety of settings, including corporate, public and nonprofit sectors.
"I am thankful for the opportunity to help lead Northland College toward a position of increased financial strength," says Jackson. "I look forward to working with the college's dedicated and resourceful board, faculty, and staff to invest in the programming, research, and development that will allow students to thrive while achieving academic and career goals."
Jackson previously served in accounting and management roles for the State of Michigan. He also provided audit and assurance services for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Minneapolis.
