September 28, 2011
Planning is underway for the Inauguration of the 13th Northland College President Michael A. Miller. An Inaugural Lecture is among the events that have been scheduled as part of President Miller's Inauguration. The lecture will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at the Presbyterian Congregational Church in Ashland, Wisconsin. Dr. Anthony Cortese, President and Co-founder of Second Nature, will speak about the critical role of higher education in creating a sustainable future. A reception at the church will follow the lecture. The event is free and open to the public.
On Friday, Oct. 28, an art exhibit will also be on display to celebrate the Inauguration of President Michael A. Miller. The "Northern Lights" exhibit will feature work from more than 20 artists who influenced Northland College or have been influenced by the institution in some form. A reception for the exhibit will be held at the Dexter Library from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
The college welcomes the public to attend the Inauguration Ceremony, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Kendrigan Gymnasium on the Northland College campus. A reception will follow the ceremony at the Ponzio Campus Center from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
