Tee-off set for Northland College Scholarship Golf Classic
July 6, 2011
Northland College will host the 6th Annual Northland College Scholarship Golf Classic on Thursday, July 14. The event, to be held at the Chequamegon Bay Golf Club in Ashland, is an important annual scholarship fundraiser for the College, contributing to more than 100 student scholarships over its history.
“Financial aid is one of the most critical pieces of the puzzle for college students today,” says Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Northland College Marc Barbeau. “The Scholarship Golf Classic is a cornerstone of our annual fundraising activities, and we are excited to invite supporters of the College back to Ashland for another excellent year of golf and scholarship development.”
The Classic features 18 holes of golf with cash prizes for the winning teams and a chance to win a new car. A $100 entry fee secures a spot in the Classic and entitles each registrant to a continental breakfast, a golf cart for two, lunch, beverages, prizes and a VIP reception featuring a silent auction. Every year, golfers receive a complimentary signature event gift. This year, all participants will receive a large black golf umbrella with the famous pink flamingo on it.
For more information, or to register, visit www.northland.edu/golf.
