Jennifer Taft Named Northland College Cross Country Coach

Northland College Director of Athletics Bill Wilson announced today that Jennifer Taft has been named the new LumberJacks and LumberJills Cross Country Coach.
"We are very pleased to have Jen join our Northland College family and leadour men's and women's cross country programs," said Wilson. "She has an excellent background in cross country and track. Taft has competed for and worked with some of the best coaches in the East."
Taft most recently served as an assistant men's and women's track and field coach at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Plattsburgh. She has coached qualifiers for both the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championship, as well as qualifiers in the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) and SUNY Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). Prior to her position at SUNYPlattsburgh, Taft was an assistant coach for cross country and track and field teams at SUNY Cortland.
"I'm very excited to accept the opportunity to coach at Northland College," Taft said. "The Jacks and Jills have a strong future ahead of them, and I look forward to my involvement with the cross country program and theNorthland College Athletic Department."
Taft received her bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and a master's degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland. She is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
