Education
- B.S. Biology, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN
Profile
After receiving my bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Minnesota, I took off for a four month bicycle tour through Canada and the West Coast of the United States. After the bike trip, I returned to Minneapolis and worked for a USDA research lab. That fall, I went camping near Cornucopia, WI where I decided it was time to cut my ties with the city and move up north to the beautiful South Shore of Wisconsin.
Living in such close proximity to the lake I started sailing for the first time which ultimately led me to my first ocean passage over the Pacific. I spent nine months island hopping in the South Pacific, meeting all kinds of locals, vagabonds, and fellow sailors.
I now find myself back in the Chequamegon Bay, back to the area that captured my heart after that first camping trip, and putting down roots.
