The magazine says it attempt to offer an alternative to other college guides by evaluating schools' contribution to the public good in the categories of social mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and Ph.D.s), and service (encouraging students to give something back to their country). Loon Ranger Training Workshop

LoonWatch and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource’s Northwood’s Loon Protection Program (NLPP) will host a training opportunity for Loon Rangers and NLPP Citizen Scientists.
This introductory training will include classroom presentations on loon behavior, ecology, and habitat, a step-by-step introduction to the Annual Lakes loon monitoring program; what you can do to protect loons.
