Community Connections

The Northland College jazz Band, led by alto saxophonist/music faculty member, Joel Glickman, will play its first program of the academinc year on Wednesday, December 12, in the Alvord Theatre located in the Ponzio Student Center on the Northland College campus. As is the custom, the atmosphere will be informal, the seating cabaret style with light refreshments on hand, and a little room for dancing available if you are so inclined.

The program will consist of a mix-contemporary and vintage swing, Latin American numbers and a couple of great jazz arrangements of Christmas tunes as well. The band itself is a mix of veteran jazz players including alumni from the community at large, and capable and devoted Northland student jazz musicians. Treat yourself to a study, work, or time-to-get-out-of-the house break and join the Northland jazz group for a musical good time.
