Sustainability Specialist: Conserving Resources by Changing Behaviors
Career presentation by Melissa Rickert, Sustainability Specialist with the Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA 10). No need to register, just show up! Free and open to students, staff and faculty.
- Date: 11/06/2012
- Sessions: Session A at 9 a.m. and Session B at 9:45 a.m.
- Location: Wheeler 011
- Description:When you've lived in places where issues like having a healthy water
source is a struggle, you have a greater appreciation for the value of
the abundant resources we have in the United States. Melissa Rickert's
exposure to such places during her work in the Peace Corps formed the
backbone for her career in environmental education and sustainability.
She's focused on helping others consider the environmental,
(more) economic and social impacts of their choices. Hear about the kinds of career opportunities across Wisconsin and the world in the area of resource management and sustainability.
