Visit Days
Visit Days give you the chance to see the College by meeting current students, sitting in on a class, having lunch in the Ponzio Student Center, and going on a student-led tour. Your day would not be complete without meeting with Admissions and Financial Aid.
Trying to decide when to visit...check out the online calendar to see what's happening on campus. Below are some of the upcoming Visit Days we have scheduled:
Upcoming Visit Days
Open Houses at Northland consist of a presentation led by Admission staff, a campus tour, and lunch. It is a great way to get to know the college. Here are the dates of our upcoming Open Houses:

You will be able to meet current students, talk with faculty members, and take student-led tours of campus. Visit by June 1st of the year you wish to enroll at Northland College and receive an additional $2,000 Visit Grant that is spread over your four years at Northland College.

Scholarship Recognition Dinner: This day is set aside to recognize those incoming students that have been awarded an Achievement Scholarship to attend Northland College. Families and friends are invited for this very special awards dinner.
Book Across the Bay Visit Day: Come for a standard Visit Day and then stay for this 10k snow shoe and ski race (at your own speed of course) across the frozen Chequamegon Bay. The Book is organized by the businesses in the Chequamegon Bay area and pre-registration is recommended. Last year, 2,300 people participated in the race. For more information visit www.batb.org.
- It is recommended that you book your hotel rooms early for this weekend, as they do fill up quickly. Please call (715) 682-1839 for a list of hotels with room blocks for Northland College or sign up for this visit day and a list will be sent to you.

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. @ PCC
We will have organizations and people tabling in the Ponzio Campus Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as presenters giving lectures and demonstrations each hour between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Fair and all presentations are open to all NC community members (students, staff, faculty, family members).

Alvord Theatre
- 11 a.m. - Theresa Hoyles, MMC dietician, speaking about how to eat healthy in the cafeteria. Whatever your nutrition goal, Theresa can offer easy- to- find options to help you achieve it. Sample topics: vegetarian diet, eating to meet athletic goals, picky eaters, those trying to lose weight or maintain healthy weight. Questions welcomed.
- 12 p.m. - BeckySue Neilson, NC alumna, massage therapist and instructor at WITC. BeckySue will present on ergonomics, daily body stress, stretching and corrective positioning. This will be an interactive session. All are welcome.
- 1 p.m. - GLBTQ Health and Relationship Topics, presenter TBA
- 2 p.m. - Jocelyn Langholz, MSW, LCSW, of Memorial Medical Center Behavioral Health, will present on eating disorders, other mental health concerns and the help that is available for these issues.
- 3 p.m. - Bradley Clark, Memorial Medical Center Behavioral Health. Bradley will speak about alcohol and drug abuse, particularly in the college-age population. He will discuss ways to tell if there is a substance abuse problem, as well as methods to limit the damage these problems may cause. Beyond abstinence, we will discuss the harm reduction model.
Basement Lounge
- 11 a.m. - Charmaine Swan of Ashland Yoga Studio with a hands-on demonstration of TRX Suspension Training. Benefits of TRX: You can get a super awesome full-body workout in 30 minutes or less, using your own body-weight to train, so you get stronger but your muscles stay lean and long The emphasis is on functional movement, making you less prone to injury. Available to all.
- 12 p.m. - Lynda Warren of Ashland Yoga Studio with a hands-on demonstration of Zumba dance. A workout that feels like a party! You don't even have to know how to dance. Just move your body and follow Lynda's lead. With Latin-inspired rhythms, you'lll spice up your workout routine, and smile as you sweat! All are welcome.
- 1 p.m. - Tyler Martin, Northland College Athletic Trainer discussing First Aid techniques.
- 2 p.m. - Craig Showalter of Chequamegon Health and Fitness discussing improving your body's condition and maximizing your health.
- 3 p.m. - Sarah Tarkington of Ashland Yoga Studio will lead a session of her Yoga Groove program. Yoga Groove is a higher-movement yoga practice, pairing traditional Hatha poses with upbeat music to help you build heat, burn stress and have fun moving your body. All are welcome.
