Superior Connections: How to Apply
Who can apply
All first-year students admitted to Northland College are eligible to apply for Superior Connections.
When to apply
Participation in Superior Connections is limited to twenty students a year, and early submissions of application materials are encouraged. Applications received prior to March 15 are given priority status in the review process.
How to apply
- Complete the application process for Admission to Northland College.

Compose a letter addressed to the Superior Connections faculty in which you explain:
- Why you would like to participate in Superior Connections
- What you could contribute to the program.
- Lastly, at the beginning of the letter, make sure to include your full name, mailing address, email address, and home phone number.
- Email your letter to superiorconnections@northland.edu (or for paper applications, mail to Northland College, Office of Admission, Attn: Connections Application, 1411 Ellis Avenue, Ashland, WI 54806-3999)
Evaluation of applicants
Applicants are evaluated on an individual basis after they have completed the application process described above. Notification of acceptance into Superior Connections will be made by email, and a spot in the program will be secured after students submit an enrollment deposit.
Fees
Some courses in this program carry special course fees to support field experiences.
