Funding Opportunities

Natural Resources Foundation provides funding through two different grants: the Besadny Conservation Grant and the Habitat Restoration Grant.

The Five Star Restoration Program brings together citizen groups, corporations, youth conservation corps, students, landowners and government agencies to undertake projects that restore stream banks and wetlands. The program provides challenge grants, technical support, and peer information exchange to enable community-based restoration projects

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation operates a conservation grants program that awards challenge grants, on a competitive basis, to eligible grant recipients, including federal, tribal, state, and local governments, educational institutions, and nonprofit conservation organizations. Project proposals are received on a year-round, revolving basis with two decision cycles per year. Grants typically range from $10,000-$150,000, based upon need.

The Plant Conservation Alliance's Restoration Working Group  provides sources of funding for restoration projects throughout the nation.
