Donate your original professional artwork (line art, graphics, photos, and other flatwork) to LoonWatch for use in our promotional materials and merchandise.

Loon Photography
Do you photograph loons? Consider entering your loon photos in the Loon Appreciation Week Poster Contest held each fall. We would also love to use your photos on our website and in our presentations. 

We are looking for photos demonstrating the following:

• loon running across the water on take-off
• loon in flight
• loon preening
• loon foot waggle (leg and foot out of the water)
• adult loon in winter plummage
• loon penguin dancing or other agressive encounters between loons
• other bird species: adult Canada goose, male and female common merganser, male and female red-breasted merganser, western grebe, double-crested cormorant in the water
• loon and egg predators: bald eagle, raccoon, river otter, mink, snapping turtle, muskie, northern pike

     Become a Volunteer

Time is as important as money. We can use your help monitoring loons as a Loon Ranger, conducting surveys, helping at special events, or giving public presentations as part of the Speakers’ Bureau. Go to Volunteer Opportunities for details on how to become more involved with LoonWatch.

     Merchandise

Proceeds from selling loon jewelry, books, Loon Alert signs, Loon Ranger patches, and other merchandise support LoonWatch programs. Go to the Merchandise page for details on these and other loon educational products and gifts.
