Before I graduate, I want to: create a sense of place in the hearts of others. Growing together with each other and sharing life changing experiences that will be remembered forever!
I chose Northland College because: it was the one place that I visited that felt "Like Home." I stepped out of the car and it almost called to me and created a feeling within me, that this is were I am suppose to be. Also being an Environmental Liberal Ed College truly inspired me and had a well recommended Outdoor Ed Major and a Native American Studies Major.
The community at Northland College is: one of the most accepting, loyal and respectful communities that I have been apart of or visited. All are welcome, all are wanted and all will be encouraged.
The most amazing thing I've done at Northland College is: Where to begin? I have been exposed and strengthened in so many aspects of life and school while being here that there is not one piece that I could express over the other. The overall journey of the life we proudly live is probably what has affected me the most⦠and trips of all sorts have created a sense of wonder and excitement for the rest of my career as a learner.
When I enrolled at Northland College, I didn't think: I would be able to talk as much as I do now in class. I was the quiet kid that never talked to anyone and now I probably talk too much.
What has challenged me the most at Northland College is: learning that my opinion matters. I have learned that now and if I could only take one sliver of knowledge that I have learned so far, I would have to say it is: challenge everything, question everything, never stop wondering about what is being done or being said and make sure that what you know is being present and involved.
