Northland College welcomes applications for admission from home schooled students. We recognize the important contributions made by home schooled students both in the college classroom and as a part of a college community. The admission committee at Northland makes a determined effort to accommodate the special academic circumstances of home schooled students during the review process.

Home schooled applicants are required to submit the following credentials:

1. Application for Admission-apply online for free, use the Common Application, or file a paper copy with a $25 application fee. Northland has rolling admission.
2. Official ACT or SAT scores
3. Official transcripts from an accredited home school organization or detailed class reports, as well as high school transcripts from all schools attended for any length of time.
4. Essay detailing why you feel you are uniquely prepared for college.
5. A letter/s of recommendation from from someone other than your primary home school educator that can speak to your potential for working at the college level.
