"What I like most about Northland is the people. Also the location is phenomenal!""If I could say one thing to the students thinking about applying to Northland, I would say visit and you'll fall in love. And that's not just a cliche, it's the truth!!!"
"My favorite professor from a large list of them has to be Scott Grinnell. He has given me huge amounts of knowledge in areas previously lacking. He works very diligently with students and always is willing to help out in any situation.""Originally what attracted me to Northland is they came to visit me first. All the way down to Elyria, Ohio they made the trek. I was humbled by this so much that I grew interested in the school and decided to visit. I was hooked. The location and the atmosphere of this small town was amazing. They day that I came to visit the school got 16 inches of snow the night before and closed down. I had to dig my parents and I a place to park on campus and then I took the tour. With classes canceled you would think everyone would be shut away in their rooms sleeping in or watching television, but that wasn't so. I walked around campus to find many students outside playing football, skiing, snowshoeing, or throwing snowballs at each other. From then on I knew this was a place for me."Today, Tim is one of those students who doesn't let a little snow get him down. As he puts it, "who doesn't love snow?" Tim's love for snow translates well into his meteorology major. He will graduate this spring.
