Northland, College of DuPage sign agreement
Northland College and College of DuPage (C.O.D.) in Glen Ellyn, Ill., have entered into an articulation agreement that will allow students to more easily transfer credits between the two institutions.
Environmental mission permeates Northland College
Step into almost any room at Northland College, and its mission as an environmental liberal arts college becomes instantly clear: The lights are off.
“The environmental mission adopted more than 35 years ago totally suffuses the campus,” President Karen Halbersleben said of the Ashland school. “You can tell in the commitment of the students and the way they ride bikes around campus and carry their Nalgenes [water bottles].”
Psychology professor receives grant for restoration project
Jorge Conesa-Sevilla, associate professor of psychology at Northland College, recently received $1,000 from the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin C.D. Besadny Conservation Grant Program for his proposal “Wetland Extension Adjacent to Fish Creek Watershed.”
