The Outdoor Orientation Program takes first year students on trips of varying lengths including five day trips, fall student athlete trips, and twelve day trips. These trips offer opportunities to view all the wonders of Northern Wisconsin, North Eastern Minnesota, and the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, all while getting to know your fellow new Northlanders. Whether you are an avid camper and excited about canoeing through the boundary waters or you are more interested in maintaining a mattress and flushing toilet, we have many options to choose from. Outdoor Orientation is a required as the first step in the First Year Experience, an exciting program offered to new students. There are also optional Outdoor Orientation trips for transfer students.
