How to Apply Northland College awards scholarships on the basis of both merit and financial need. To be considered for all forms of financial assistance, including scholarships you must be an admitted applicant, complete the Supplemental Financial Aid and Merit Scholarship Application and File the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid.DeadlinesPriority Merit Scholarship Deadline: February 15th Scholarship applications received after February 15th will be reviewed and awarded based on the availability of funds. Priority FAFSA Deadline: March 15th Filing the FAFSA prior to this date ensures full consideration for all applicable forms of financial aid. Special Recognition and Merit Scholarship RequirementsIndividual scholarships have separate required supporting materials. Applicants are encouraged to apply for multiple scholarships. Scholarship awards are renewable annually dependent upon meeting all continuing eligibility requirements.
Engagement Scholarship $3,000-$5,000 Designed for students who have demonstrated engagement in and outside of the classroom.Presidential Scholarship $10,000For students with exceptional academic, leadership and volunteer records of service. Eco-Visionary Leadership & Service Scholarship $5,000Designed to recognize the contributions made to the community through leadership and service. Sigurd Olson Environmental Scholarship $5,000Awarded to students who have made a commitment to the environment. Ponzio Fine Art Scholarship $5,000Edie Bristol Visual Art Scholarship $1,500Created to assist promising incoming students in their pursuit of a visual arts degree. Diversity and Community Scholarship $1,000-$1,500Created to support the pursuit of a college education for incoming students who are from traditionally underrepresented populations or who have a demonstrated commitment towards diverse communities. Vocal or Instrumental Music Scholarship $250-1,000Music scholarships are available for any student involved in the music program at Northland. You do not need to major in music to be eligible. Legacy Scholarship $1,000In honor of our alumni, available to any child or grandchild of an alumnus who attends Northland in 2007-2008.
