Over the course of history, the world has been changed by people; sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. Today, we are faced with the very real and measurable ways in which our actions are changing the planet and your generation will be charged with the task of finding new solutions. It will be your job to make changes for the better.

Already, people around the globe have stepped forward to be a part of those changes, to lead by example and plan for a better tomorrow. These women and men are Eco-Visionaries. Like all of us they have seen the problems mounting. They have looked back through history, made predictions for the future and cringed to see so many come true. They have watched as change has gained momentum and now they have decided to act. Eco-Visionaries are finding pathways to change. They are scanning the horizon; they are looking outside the confines and conventions of everyday life to find a better way. They are visionary by nature. Are you?

Northland College is a community of visionaries and, together, we are finding our own path to a better future. We are building a highway for others to follow. Our students, faculty and staff are striving to leave a better planet to our children than our parents left to us. By looking at the big picture and seeing the complex web of connections, we are finding ways to change the world that no one has seen before.
