Kreher Park and the Ashland Marina, located nearby, are great vantage points from which to view sunsets over Chequamegon Bay.
Kreher Park
The park is also tucked next to one of Ashland’s greatest landmarks: the old Ashland Oredock, for which the city of Ashland’s high school athletics teams are named. In winter, Kreher Park is the starting point for the Book Across the Bay – a snowshoe and ski race that involves skiing over frozen Chequamegon Bay to the city of Washburn on the opposite side of the water from Ashland.
