There are many offices and people that you may want to become acquainted with during your son or daughter's time on campus. We have listed the offices below with a general description of what they do and why students might want to visit them.

The Admission Office - Second Floor of Wakefield Hall

If your student visited campus before enrolling, this is the office where they visited with one of our admissions counselors who help complete the admissions process if you have any questions for them, call (715) 682-1224.

The Athletic Department - Kendrigan Gymnasium

If your son or daughter wants to participate in a club, intramural, or varsity sport, this is the office to call. They can also find out about open gym and pool times, as well as opportunities to exercise in the weight and exercise rooms. Please call the gym at (715) 682-1243 with your questions.

The Business Office - Second floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

This office, which takes care of the money end of a student's stay at Northland, is open from 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Students pick up their employment checks at the Business office window. Tuition billing originates from this office as well as the signing of student loan checks. You can call them at (715) 682-1275.

The Financial Aid Office - Second floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

This is where students turn in time cards for their campus jobs. Also, all the paperwork for student loans and grants are processed in this office. These are the people who help figure out your financial situation and let students know about the choices for aid in financing their education. You can call them at (715) 682-1255.

The Food Service Offices - First floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

The staff in this area ensures high quality food service for the campus. They can provide sick trays for students unable to attend the regular meals and food for special events. They run the Commons dining area and The Snack Bar, which is a great place to catch a snack or exchange a meal from the food plan if your student missed the regular serving hours. NC Health Center - Second floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

This office assists students in taking responsibility for their own health and to create a full and balanced lifestyle as well as a healthy community.  The Health Center is staffed by a registered nurse who can assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries.  Medical as well as academic accommodations are provided through this office.

A physician from the Main Street Clinic comes to campus Thursday afternoons starting at 1:30 p.m.  If you are insured through the plan offered by the College (United Health Care Student Resources), office visits are covered at 100% if services are received either at the NC Health Center or the Main Street Clinic.

The Registrar's Office - Second floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

This office informs students about a variety of academic policies and procedures. Some examples include: which classes are open for registration, disseminating class schedules, letting students know which credits transferred from another college, and how many credits they currently have and their class standing. In essence, they deal with all the academic requirements necessary during attendance at Northland. You can call them at (715) 682-1227 if you have any questions.

The Student Development Offices - Second floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

The many offices within this department help with the learning that takes place outside the classroom. The office of Residential Life can assist with all on-campus housing questions. The Career Services offices provide assistance for students interested in pursuing personal and career opportunities. The Counseling Services Office offers personal guidance and various support groups throughout the year. The office of Campus Ministry can work with students on spiritual concerns. The office of Multi-cultural Affairs provides opportunities for students of color and others to work and learn together. Finally, the Office of Student Development deals with all aspects of student life from student organizations and student government to recreational opportunities and rides to the airport. Office of Student Success - Second floor of the Ponzio Campus Center

This office assist students with activities, programs, and services both inside and outside the classroom. These services include support for first-year students including the Northland First-Year Experience (FYE) program, international student services, Orientation and registration programming, academic advising, tutoring support, and assistance for students with special needs.
