Center for Service and Stewardship

The Center for Service and Stewardship creates opportunities for students to become ethically invested citizens who build and sustain the public good.

Level I

Students become increasingly aware of service opportunities and are able to act out of their personal values.

Areas for Exploration:

  • Values exploration
  • Ethics
  • Work place skill sets
  • Service projects (i.e. Social Justice, Environmental, Political, Community Service)

Level II

Students become humble contributors to the diverse communities they serve based on their skills and passions.

Areas for Exploration:

  • Social and natural capital
  • Diversity experiences
  • Build stewardship portfolio
  • Strengths exploration
  • Service projects

Level III

Students become key and reflective contributors to the local community through individual service.

Areas for Exploration:

  • Leadership skills
  • Manage service/stewardship project
  • Strengthen communication skills
  • Create support networks

Level IV

Students become the connection between local action and global concerns by creating the potential for enduring legacy and systemic change.

Areas for Exploration:

  • Active citizenship
  • Create service organization strategic plan
  • Attend regional/national conference
