Managing Content

• Content on the Northland College website will be user centered and integrative
• Content on the Northland College website will be current and pertinent
• Individual departments are responsible for updating content for department specific web pages.
• Content on the Northland College website will strive for search engine optimization (SEO)
• Only designated content providers can publish changes to the web
• The Director of Communication shall have the right to suspend all material deemed inappropriate or obscene to be reviewed by the Web Team in consultation with the author.
• Content shall conform to the approved style guide with the exception of ncstudent.net, ncfaculty.net, ncstaff.net
• The Northland College disclaimer policy must be accessible on every homepage

CMS Users

• Each CMS user will have their own user name and password
• CMS users will not share passwords
• The Director of College Communication and or Web Master will decide if an external logo will not appear on the Northland College website

Images

• Stock photography will not be used as images on the web
• Images with the exception of the photo gallery images need to be approved by the Director of College Communication or Webmaster or Public Relations Manager

Web Hosting

Northland College may choose to host websites on behalf of external groups or organizations. In that case, those groups or organizations will be asked to sign an agreement and will abide by this policy outline. 

Advertising

Websites owned and operated by Northland College will not accept external paid advertising
