Steve Wammer took over the head coaching duties in the spring of 2002. In his six seasons at the helm, he has led the LumberJills to three Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championship games and their first ever Regional Tournament appearance. Wammer, a 1986 graduate of Concordia College-Moorhead, MN, has over 20 seasons of collegiate head coaching experience in four different sports. Wammer came to Northland College in 1999 as the school's Director of Athletics where he has overseen the expansion of the athletic department as well as coordinated Northland's move to NCAA Division III. Wammer and his wife Debbie reside in Ashland with their three children, Emily (10), Samuel (10), and Jacob (10).
