The Northland College LumberJills Basketball program will welcome several new "class of 2012" freshmen onto next year's team.  The Jills have five players who have deposited at Northland College next year.  They are Ashleigh Galligan from Campbellsport, WI, Kristin Zimmer from Laona, WI, and Ashley Runge from Grand Rapids, MN, Maria Mackey from Holmen, WI, Lyndsay Dake from Muskego, WI, and Lulu Seelye from Deer River.  In addition, the Jills have another player who has verbally committed and will announce her when she deposits at the college. 

Northland College Head Coach of Women's Basketball, Dan Roiger, had this to say about the class in general, "When we were recruiting these players we started getting really excited about who we could have coming in, and now that we are getting our top recruits, we are very excited about this group!  We believe they have outstanding potential as a college class.  It is an athletic group of players who come from winning programs, and they are very skilled.  I believe they will add some necessary depth to our program and also address some specific needs that we have on our roster right now.  There are some really good players who can help us immediately and every one of them is a legitimate college basketball player.  Perhaps the best thing about this group is they are passionate about basketball and excited to join our program.  And we are excited to have them! Only time will tell, but they should be a great class that will leave an impact on our program over the next four years!"
