In the Spotlight: Courtney Kinney

Courtney Kinney is this week's "In the Spotlight."  This past weekend, the freshman setter helped lead the LumberJills to a perfect 4-0 weekend at the UMAC Volleyball Crossover Tournament held at Northland.

In the four games, the Ashland native had 168 assists, 13 kills and 31 digs.  In winning all four games, the Jill's lost only two out of a possible 14 games.  They defeated Presentation (3-1) and the University of Minnesota-Morris (3-0) on Friday and then Bethany Lutheran (3-1) and Martin Luther (3-0) on Saturday.  Northland now stands on top of the UMAC with Northwestern at 4-0 and improved to 8-11 overall.

Courtney Kinney has made an immediate impact
as a freshman for the LumberJills


On the season, Kinney has amassed 504 assists (10.50 per game), 38 kills (0.79 per game) and 110 digs (2.29 per game).
