Game 1 Box Score

Brittany Schmitt allowed only two hits and struck out nine in a complete game 8-0 win over Martin Luther in the first game of the UMAC crossover in Morris, MN.

Schmitt gave up a single in the second and fourth innings as she improved her record to 8-5 and helped Northland win its fifth in a row.

The LumberJills (13-11, 5-0 UMAC) scored two in the first inning on Karen Harnisch's (Ashland, WI) RBI triple and another on a Martin Luther (4-11, 0-5 UMAC) error.

Tiffany Datko's (Inver Grove Heights, MN) two-run double in the second scored Alex Potter (Nevis, MN) and Chrissy Dvorscak (Whiting, IN) to give the Jill's a 4-0 lead.

Bobi Jo Wolf (Marquette, MI) and Becky Walters (Porterfield, WI) each belted two-run homers in the fifth and six innings for Northland.

Game 2 Box Score

The first five hitters in the Northland line-up went 9-20 with seven runs batted in as the Jill's outscored Bethany Lutheran 10-7.

Karen Harnisch (Ashland, WI) had an RBI single and Bobi Jo Wolf (Marquette, MI) added a run
scoring double in the third inning to give the LumberJills an early 2-0 lead.  They added a sacrifice fly and scored their fourth run of the inning on a wild pitch.

In the fourth, Northland (14-11, 6-0 UMAC) added four more runs.  Katie Zaben (Frankfort, IL) had an RBI single and Harnisch brought another run across the pate on a fielder's choice.  Theresa Pufall's (Ashland, WI) single to left field scored another and the Jill's made it 8-1 on a Vikings error.

Bethany Lutheran (4-21, 2-4 UMAC) scored three in the bottom of the fourth to pull within 8-4, but Northland added two more in the fifth to lead 10-4.
