Langfeldt's gem pushes Jills past Yellow Jackets

Stephanie Langfeldt tossed a three-hitter and the one through four hitters went 9-15 in Northland College's 6-0 win over Waynesburg College at the Tucson Invitational in Tucson, AZ.

In the bottom of the first, Tiffany Datko led off with a triple and then scored on Katie Zaban's RBI single to give the Jills a 1-0 lead.

Northland (2-3) added four runs on five hits in the fourth.  Aurora Albrecht started the inning off with a walk.  After a flyout and a strikeout, Margaret Koosman tripled in Albrecht.  A Datko double and another single from Zaben pushed the LumberJills lead to 4-0.  Becky Walters drove home Zaben with a RBI double and gave Northland a commanding 5-0 lead and more than enough run support for Langfeldt.  They added their final run in the fifth, thanks in large part to four errors by Waynesburg.

Datko, Zaben and Karen Harnisch each had two hits while Walters added three in the Jills' ten-hit attack.  Langfeldt struck out six and walked just two over seven innings.
