March 5Box ScoreNorthland College's seven errors accounted for seven unearned runs in a 9-1 loss to Waynesburg College at the Tucson Invitational in Tucson, AZ.The Yellow Jackets scored three runs, all unearned, off of only one hit in the top of the first.In the bottom half, Katie Zaben singled with one out. After advancing to second on a groundout, she came around to score on Becky Walters run-scoring single to make it 3-1.Waynesburg came back in the second as a two-run homerun from Amber Pivik gave the Spartans a 5-1 lead. They would add two more unearned runs in both the fifth and seventh innings to close out the scoring.Brittany Schmitt took the loss for the Jills as she went the distance allowing just five hits, striking out nine and walking four. Zaben went 2-3 on the day to lead Northland.
