Hamline University scored a goal in each half and allowed just four shots on goal in a 2-0 shutout over Northland College in a non-conference game for both schools.The Pipers snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 8-8 overall (2-7 MIAC). The LumberJills fell to 6-9-2 and remained at 6-5-2 in the UMAC. After winning three in a row and four of five, Northland is now 0-2-1 in their last three games.

Hamline's Kim Magill scored the game's opening goal 8:57 into the first period. Ann Donner, who leads the MIAC in goals, added her 13th goal ten minutes into the second half. Ana Panone assisted on both goals for the Pipers.The LumberJills complete their regular season slate when they host conference leading College of St. Scholastica (16-2-1, 13-0 UMAC) October 27th at 2:00 PM. The Jill's have already qualified for the conference tournament, which begins on November 3rd.
