Five LumberJills Make All-Conference Team

 

Senior Anne Kriskovich and sophomore Sarah Strobino were each named to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference 1st Team this afternoon.  Senior Toni Leeney, junior Brittany Ballwanz and sophomore Amanda Seely were each named to the Honorable Mention Team as well.  Kriskovich also made the UMAC All-Tournament Team after the Jill's qualified for the Final Four.  For a compete look at the All-Conference selections, please click here.


This season marks the third consecutive season that Anne Kriskovich has been a 1st Team selection.  In 19 games, the defenseman recorded two assists.  In her career, the Ashland High School graduate tallied 66 points with 29 goals and ten assists.

After being a 1st Team selection last season, Sarah Strobino once again had a strong season as she led the team in points (33), goals (14) and was second in assists (5).  She also had three game-winning goals.  The Buffalo, NY native now has 72 points, including 30 goals and 12 assists.

Defenseman Toni Leeney returns to the All-Conference Team after she named also a Honorable Mention selection back in 2005.  The Melbourne, FL native had an assist in 18 games this fall.

Brittany Ballwanz is now a three-time All-Conference member.  She was a 1st Team selection in 2006 and made the Honorable Mention Team in 2005.  In 18 games, she had a 2.36 goals against average and a .808 save percentage.

A native from Powell, OH, Amanda Seely was second on the Jill's in points (23), goals (9) and assists (5) this season.  The forward also scored on the LumberJills lone penalty kick attempt.
