September 21Northland's Women's Cross Country team competed at the BluGold Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The LumberJills were once again paced by freshman Francesca Pascale (28:10) who was followed by freshman Amanda Strick (29:13), sophomore Jessica Sweirczynski (32:26), freshman Cassie Bodette (32:38), and first-year runner Laura Ehlen (33:19) to complete their scoring. Fellow LumbeJills first time runner Katie Musick (33:33), freshmen Ashley Stefaniw (33:52), Samantha Adams (34:11), and first time runner Samantha Schneid (43:30) also participated in the race.The University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse won the women's race while St. Thomas' Katie Theisen captured the individual championship with a time of 23:31.The LumberJills next compete at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday, September 29th.
