2007 Northland Women's Invitational

2007 Northland Women's Invitational

With top runner Francesca Pascale and number two runner Amanda Strick out with injuries, Senior Melissa McNell stepped up and led the LumberJills with her best race of the season.  McNell covered the 6K course in a time of 27:03, taking almost 50 seconds of her previous best this year on a tough course.  McNell was followed by Freshman Ashley Stenfaniw (30:30), Sophomore Jessica Sweirczynski (31:11), first time runner Katie Musick (32:11), first time runner Laura Ehlen (32:19), and first time runner Samantha Schneid (40:47).  The women's team has had their share of illness and injury this year.  With the team getting healthy, they are excited about what might happen at their conference meet hosted by St. Scholastica at the Far Par Golf course in Duluth on Saturday, Oct. 27th.  The women run at noon.
