Northland College outshot and had more shots on goal than host Crown College, but it was not enough in a 3-2 loss.

Their 23 shots on net was a season-high and while their 32 shots was the second highest of the season, but the Jack's could only manage a goal in each half against the Purple Storm.

Northland saw their two-game winning come to an end and the season record fall to 3-12 and 2-10 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.  Crown improved to 10-8 and 5-8 in the UMAC.

Trailing 1-0, freshman Kyle Schenk (Burlington, WI) scored his second goal of the season in the 27th minute on an assist from Brent Grassl (Shawano, WI).

The Purple Storm regained the lead ten minutes later to take a 2-1 lead to halftime.  Crown scored the eventual game-winner a little more than three minutes into the second half.

Joe Schenk (Burlington, WI), who was named the UMAC Offensive Player of the Week last week, scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season at the 52nd minute mark.

Northland travels to Northwestern College on Saturday, October 20th for a 12:00 PM start.
