February 16

Box Score

In the final regular season game for both teams, the University of Minnesota-Crookston sealed up the #6 seed in next weekend's conference tournament with a 4-2 win over visiting Northland College.

The LumberJacks (4-21, 4-16 MCHA) will be the #7 seed and will travel to #2 seed Finlandia University on February 22nd and 23rd.  The Golden Eagles match up with third seeded Marian College.  This also marked the first time that they have defeated Northland this year after losing the first three meetings.

UM-Crookston (6-19, 5-15 MCHA) took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period.  Nick Matson (Hanover, MN), who scored two goals in yesterday's 8-6 win, added his team-leading tenth goal of the year 22 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1.

The Golden Eagles took charge in the second period as they built a 3-1 lead heading into the final period and eventually grabbed a 4-1 lead before Chad Moore (Airdrie, AB) found the net for the seventh time this season with less than five minutes remaining.
